Two really important memories:
Felessan and Khraelin taking Theora into Runnyeye. She died so many times that night I lost count. They felt really bad, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. To this day, Khraelin could strike fear into my heart with the words, "I have a map!"
And Gaedan...I lost Chrosite's corpse off of Kelethin. You gave me her first whip. She always loved whips. Too bad she drowned in Crushbone and developed a fear of water that lasted a long, long, time.
No game comes close to matching my memories of EQ.

Hell, I still play it, maybe a couple of months a year, just for nostalgia. These days I hang out on Test, since a) You have all expansions enabled, regardless of owning them, b) you get double xp, on top of hotzones/Veteran AA/XP Potions and c) people are a lot more likely to help you out on Test. _________________

I had a fear of water too - when Gaedan was in the low teens I got the hot tip to try out soloing on Erud's crossing hunting wisps. Anyway, and I've told this story a lot of times, but it's a good one, someone starts yelling out on the zone wide channel about needing help with their lost body. A level 2 paladin twink on her way to Erudin fell off the boats (lol boats) and got agroed and eaten by a shark. Her body fell to the ground, waaaay down.
Like a tard, I agreed to help w/ corpse finding song. Back then you could loot a body clean, so I cleared my bags, got water breathing from a druid on the island, loaded up the corpse song and went swimming. I found the body like 10 minutes later, scared shitless of agroing a shark, and looted it. Then sank like a rock because I was at 180/90 weight limit or some what like that.
So I couldn't move, was down at the bottom of the ocean, and now I had got turned around. I started to swim in what I thought was the right direction and loaded up strength song to at least let me move.
To make a long story short, I got horribly lost underwater, water breathing started to fade, and I was afraid that there were going to be two bodies underwater. In desperation, I remembered that there was a corpse on the docks, so I took a gamble and started to twist corpse finding song, and found the corpse on the docks. I surfaced with 20 seconds or so on water breathing left.
The paladin of course was ecstatic that I saved her stuff, and the higher level druid was pretty impressed as well. He asked me if there was anything he could do for me, and I responded, "Yeah, port me to LFay, I'm going back to Crushbone." _________________

My big problem is I don't really want to group with strangers, and I don't have all the PC's (or desire to pay) for a bunch of accounts to run my own group. I do miss the game a lot though! |

What am I, chopped liver?
All you have to do is claim parental power to get the two and the high elf back in action. Instant mayhem!
Still recall grouping with Xaff, Vald and Ker in Great Divide. "Meet at the tree." brings back some memories. _________________

Everquest... I remember picking it up at CompUSA, exited to get it home and play. I think I started off with a High Elf Wizard. Around level 3, I finally made the trip over to kelethin (not that I knew that it existed) and was awed beyond belief at the city in the trees. That's still my #1 mmo memory.
I scrapped that guy (Whom I think was Excelsisus), and made a Wood Elf Druid named Karin. Played her for quite a while, mostly until I got tired of quad-kiting things and then having 30 minutes to kill while I stared at the book to get mana. Also, drama from my first real guild, Forest Shadows. Glad I was there, I met some really cool people, but I was glad to leave as well.
And then there was (is) Fourth Wall. You guys were all so crazy. I always had a good time hanging out and running with y'all.
I remember being the baby of the iksar monk crew too... Camping rares for the epic robe, fists... man those were some good times.
I miss you guys. =) _________________ -=X=-

So its fast approaching April 2010 - I want to see if we can find any and all past 4W members to post some stories about the "good ol' days". If you have any old email addresses or have folks on MyFaceitter or whatever, tell them to come by the forums!

Ohh man... I know I have some good stories...
I remember Kiri and Dals wedding.. that was the day I got tagged into 4w.
This is the only thing I remember about it.. everyone was put into this nice formation for the ceremony and the wedding was proceeding well when out of nowhere some guy stumbles into the scene and blurts out "WTF!"
I always thought that was hilarious
"do you take this man to be "WTF!!!"
Let's see... what else can I think of.. ohh yeah.. getting dragged down to Lguk by Xaaz who was bent on camping the rastor.. we'd flop our way down there only to find it already camped 99% of the time and back then the 15ac on the robe you'd get from that quest was amazing for a monk.
Keru yelling at me to turn autosplit off or to stay near him and not get agroed.. Then I'd promptly run off the wrong way and have half the zone after me and keru giving me death threats.
Going to check on the pegasus spawn with Arsh.. the thing poped twice for him and dropped the cloak both times.. I gotta get some of his hair and make a charm out of it or something.
But then half the time he's a magnet for beatings by random mobs as well.
Unleashing the jester on people and having it turn keru and Arsh into all sorts of crazy stuff.
Ohh jeez this is a bit more recent.. can't think of alot of early stuff.
The sarnak fort in lake of ill omen was fun back in the level 20's I though it was fun when someone got feared by a necro sarnak.
Hunting caimen in oasis and getting mowed down by spectres instead.
The damn boats!.. Getting form kunark to antonica as an iksar was fun.. I;d run to the over there and swim around the wall of the evil outpost.. feign on the beach looking at the dock and wait... and wait... then the boat would show up and I'd have a look around for dragoon's before getting up and b-line for the boat.. then fall through it and have to try again all the while hoping a dragoon didn't see me.. those were the days. |

For Deddy's wedding, I went to Tolsia's work and got on her office mate's computer and went to the wedding from there. It was a last minute thing so I didn't have time to set this guy's keys up, and 'A' was still set to auto attack.
When the GM asked me for the rings, I targeted her and went to turn to face her but instead hit 'A'.
So that's why Gaedan punched out the priest at his brother's wedding. _________________
